Bedford Remembers Campaign Markers for Historical Tour

Bedford Remembers

The Bedford Remembers campaign is a project that Bedford Main Street and the National D-Day Memorial partnered together to implement.  Bryan Schley, Bedford Main Street Design Committee chairman and April Cheek-Messier, President of the National D-Day Memorial Foundation have been vital in working together on this project. This project is being funded by private donations and the Town of Bedford.

It recognizes and highlights the historical significance of the community of Bedford as the hometown of the Bedford Boys.  The historical markers are phase 3 in a multistep project with the 1st and 2nd phases being the redesign on the existing plaza and the light pole banners.

The historical markers will be place at various significant locations throughout Centertown.  Through our partnership with the National D-Day Memorial, they will be providing a walking tour app to engage the community, local merchants, government and others to embrace the D-Day history of this town.
