The Town of Bedford will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the National Fitness Campaign "Fitness Court ®", on Wednesday, May 8th at 10:00 a.m. on location at Liberty Lake Park, 939 Burks Hill Road, Bedford, Virginia.
The Town is partnering with Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital as the main sponsor to bring this first outdoor gym of this kind to the State of Virginia. Additional Sponsors include: Bedford Ready Mix, Lloyd Concrete Services, Inc, Sharp Top CrossFit, The Carter Craft Foundation and Structure Foundation Solutions.
This special Fitness Court launch event will provide an opportunity for residents to attend a free express class to give the Court a try with local Ambassadors onsite from 10:00 to 12:00 pm to instruct them on the use of the equipment. In addition, residents can download the FREE app - Fitness Court- from National Fitness Campaign that provides workouts and music to follow while working out on the LLP Fitness Court.
